Fish Group

John Fish and the Fish Group were pivotal in the dream, design and construction of the Hope Island Northern, Central and Southern Village at Hope Island. Fish Group's projects included 4 main precincts and 26 sub-precincts. 

A major focus of this development was the engagement of the canal, and provision of public access along the waters edge. This was provided by a continuous system of canal edge drives and pedestrian paths. Fish Group built and contributed significant trunk infrastructure works for transport, recreation, water and sewer, including Q100 flood free access as part of the project-- these improvements continue to be a project legacy for the City of Gold Coast.

This project resulted in a truly mixed-use integrated community, with a diverse program that included a wide range of housing types, shops, small offices and a variety of civic uses. Leveraging of the canal as a public asset, and the creation of all of these facilities has contributed to making Hope Island a true community and a vibrant destination for the region.
